The book “Smak på Sápmi Samisk mat: – innovation, tradition och framtid”/”Taste of Sápmi – Sami Cuisine: Tradition and innovation in to the future” (produced by Slow Food Sápmi) has been awarded four times.

First was 22 october by Måltidsakademien 2014 (Swedish Academy of Culinary Arts and Meal Sciences).

”A vacuum has been filled! Finally, we can see the richness of Sámi cooking, from gurpi to gáhkku, boiled down into a compact and exceedingly flavourful volume of historical importance.’ Smak pa Sápmi/Taste of Sápmi has been named Sweden’s Culinary Cookbook of the Year in the category “Regional Cookbook.”

Then the book got awarded twice as “Best in the World” by “Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2015”, Yantai, China in the category ”Local Cuisine” and “Historical Recipes”.

15 oktober 2015, in Frankfurt it was awarded again with the honourable price: GOURMAND BEST OF THE BEST 2nd in – The best cookbooks of the last 20 years.
